JIM: upon reading your blog of late, you seem afflicted with on-again, off-again malaise.
I think you should come spend a week in the beautiful Eastern Townships of Quebec. Any time after July 8 or 9 is good, as The Mel will be in her new home, I will be freed of most weighty obligations, and the guest room will be available (see The Mel being out, above).
This is not mandatory, but encouraged.
Your pal,

Likewise, you're always welcome in bay-OOO-tiful San Jose (where each and every non-citizen is provided a free proctology exam, tour of impoundment facilities and other fun for foreign families! All at reasonable cost.)
Now with new comfy radio collar tagging!
Welcoming our friends from overseas since 1776!
and frisking them thoroughly since 2001! _________________ The Grayhound Chronicles

Oh sure, why not?
The sofa folds out, there's a guest room and I can even set up a cot in the garage when my wife kicks me out, but hey, it's a sacrifice I'm willing to make. _________________ The Grayhound Chronicles
