So, Gert's up, and the Hougan is nearing the half-way point, which means it will definitely be ready for Halloween.

I've finally been taking those Scary God Mother comparisons seriously, and checking out some of Jill Thompson's stuff. She's terrific. I am very envious of the whole water-color thing, which I've only dabbled in so far. Good news though! Scary God Mother is going to be a Halloween special on YTV this October, and is produced by Mainframe (the company that produced Reboot and Transformers: Beast Wars). It's going to be 3D, and resemble The Nightmare Before Christmas in some ways (I've watched it at least a half dozen times).

Halloween cards are done, and if you want one you just need to help me refresh my address book (we moved last summer and I don;t know where any of my addresses are at the moment). Send me your address and I will send you a card (and sketch on the card somewhere). I came up with two characters: Twix and Tweet. Twix is a witch cat, and Tweet is an obnoxious raven. I'm not sure if they will actually be featured in a Monster Hollow story or not, but they may make an appearance at some point.

By the way, I've decided that once I am finished Hougan Hears a Howl, I will start work on How Zombilly Spoiled Christmas!

Oh yeah, I have not been online for a while ... I got your card. Thanks! I still think that you could put full color greeting cards with your characters and sell them a-la Hallmark. I never saw the Scary Godmother thing promouted on TV. Either it was a Canadian thing or a cable thing (since I don't have it). If you taped it I would mind barrowing it ...

I think it was a Canadian thing (aired on YTV). Apparently they were putting the finishing touches on a DVD, so I imagine that it will be out at some point in the next year.

Unfrotunately I didn't see it either, but you can see some samples here. She even has a scan of the invitation for the world premiere. Pretty cool.

I will keep my eye out for a copy, and if I can find it you can definitely borrow it.
