Came across a movie I have to tell everybody about:
God of Cookery.
It's a work of genius. A bizarre comic masterpiece out of Hong Kong.
Seems many folk have already heard of this Stephen Chow character, and aren't surprised that'd I'd be so taken with this film. Personally, I want to know what supersecret cabal of men has kept the God of Cookery from me for so long.
So, in short... God of Cookery: Best film of all time, bar none.
Which puts the list of Top Five All-Time Best Films Ever, Bar None to:
1. God of Cookery
2. 28 Days Later
3. Evil Dead 2
4. Rumble in the Bronx
5. Ghostbusters
With honourable mentions going to (and no, I can't believe I'm listing them but damn if they weren't knock me out incredibly better than I ever could have imagined black&white flicks could be): the Big Sleep (Bogart version) and Citizen frickin Kane. |

Hmm. Hadn't heard of it before, but after reading <a href="http://www.lovehkfilm.com/reviews/god_of_cookery.htm">a review</a> it sounds pretty good.
(Granted, after reading <a href="http://filmcritics.org.hk/godofcookery/review.html">some other reviews</a> I was just confused.)
Thanks! I'll have to go check this out. _________________ The Grayhound Chronicles
